Because I trust Bhagavan, Nisargadatta and a few others, I have been practicing self-enquiry on faith. But I never understood how something so simple and basic as focusing on the I am could lead to realization. It has caused some doubt to linger. However, this post really clears it up. It gives the exact explanation I have been looking for. It's as if now I have a clear "scientific" answer...The ego can only exist when it is looking at anything other than itself. But when we look inward, we are depriving the ego of what it needs to thrive, that which is other than itself. Very simple and clear explanation of what has been puzzling me. I am sure I have seen it explained before, since I have read Happiness and the Art of Being, and several other books. However, for some reason it never sunk in. Very glad you wrote this Michael, thank you!Tom Buschnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7345918888953765241.post-32746594770175155862014-01-11T06:34:23.067+00:002014-01-11T06:34:23.067+00:00If the "I" is experienced as "irupp...If the "I" is experienced as "iruppu nilai" then no other teaching is required .
